Does Personal Auto Insurance Cover a Rental Car?

Now that it is summer you may take a trip somewhere and find yourself in need of a car, but are you covered through your insurance policy? 

Most rental companies offer some form of insurance when renting.  However, you may not need this coverage if your insurance policy covers it.  Before you head off on your adventure remember to check with your customer service representative at Mid-State Insurance.

Planning to travel a lot? The rental company’s insurance too pricy? You may want to consider adding this extra coverage to your auto insurance policy.  If you do not own a car, check with your Mid-State insurance agent about a non-owner auto insurance policy.  Finally, check with your credit card company, some companies offer coverage as well.
